Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar is an often photographed location – every melbourne photographer seems to have an example in their portfolio.
It is located on the corner of Bourke Street and Crossley Lane.
Night shots of the bar can turn out spectacularly – the neon sign in Crossley Lane lights up and people enjoying the coffee spill out onto the pavement.
The side wall of Pellegrini’s in Crossley Lane makes an excellent background to the various characters who wander up and down.
There is also a second hand bookshop on the other side of Crossley Lane which is worth a look as a location.
I can’t speak to Pellegrini’s Coffee, but can recommend Seven Seeds coffee hole in the wall at 2/14 Crossley Street.
